Liquid Car Crash

Liquid Car Crash, Live at Milk Cafe (Windsor, @2000)

Members:

-Kevin "Fingers" Harris (Guitar, Vox)

-"Atomic" Aaron Bell (Percussion)

-Ryan "The Flash" Fontaine (Bass)

1999 - 2001      Fast Facts:

-Liquid Car Crash was originally a side project, started around the time that Village Idiot was ending, with Aaron Bell (Less than Useful) and Dean Drouillard (Racecar).

-Dean was soon picked up as the guitarist for the Johnny Favourite Swing Orchestra, and moved to Toronto. Ryan Fontaine became the new bassist, who ironically was the bassist for JFSO.

-Nicknames were a tongue-in-cheek throwback to the guitar hero days of yore.

-Performed covers of Satriani, Malmsteen, MacAlpine, Eric Johnson, and a variety of 80's metal to add to the post-punk original compositions.

-Following Village Idiot's breakup, LCC began to gig often and record.

-First CD released in 2000 (Conspiranoia), recorded at Ocean Studios in WIndsor, engineered by soon-to-be Juno-nominated, MMVA/SOCAN award-winner and Gold-selling Daniel Victor of Neverending White Lights.

-Favourable reviews were printed in Exclaim Magazine and other online sites.

-Opened locally for Gob, Finger 11, Another Joe and Moneen, and toured Southern Ontario and Michigan.

-Always intended to have a lead vocalist, but never found one.

-Recorded a follow-up EP in 2001 (Bloodsucker), at Fanshawe College in London.

-Work schedules started getting in the way, which is what happens as musicians age and become responsible.  Chris Martin filled in on bass often near the end and finally Kevin moved to Toronto for a while.
