(1994 - 1999) Fast Facts:
-Born out of Quantum Overload (Brantford, Ont.), but moved to Windsor in the Fall of 1994.
-Recorded a 5-song EP (1994, Village Idiot) at Studio 92 in Toronto.
-Parted ways with Ryan Haynes after the EP, and Dennis Gecas joined on bass to start recording a new CD, but this lineup lasted only a few months.
-Chris Osborne, a long-time friend, became the new bassist and co-songwriter, and played all the bass tracks on the CD (1995, Invisible Pedestrian), recorded between Noisefloor Studios and Terra-Firma Studios in Brantford.
-The CD was getting top 10 airplay at Canadian university radio stations across the country, and good reviews in several magazines. Some record label interest followed.
-Played constantly around Windsor, Detroit and Southern Ontario, and lived together in a party house (429 McKay St.), rehearsing daily in the basement.
-The grind got to be too much for Chris (living 3 hours away, travelling faithfully for each gig), and sadly agreed to part ways to focus his energy on his Brantford band (Less than Purfikt).
-Local Windsor bassist Ryan Ward (from Lanky) joined in 1997
-Released a new CD (1997, Gutter), recorded again at Noisefloor, and toured across Canada and the U.S.
-Maintained a hectic live schedule in the Windsor-area, headlining and opening for several national touring acts.
-Village Idiot broke up and focused on side projects in 1999, reforming briefly a couple times in the following year. Soon after, Tony moved to California, Ryan moved to Calgary, and John joined Another Joe in Vancouver.
